A taste of generations - Palm Grill

Home-made recipes especially made by our loved ones are simply the best! But the dishes from Palm Grill which are perfected by generations are really worth sharing!

Their recipes shouldn't be kept inside a treasure chest. Made by the parents, grandparents, and siblings of the family behind the Palm Grill, their dishes are truly outstanding with a southeast asian twist!

Located at Tomas Morato Ave, Diliman Quezon City, you can see this paradise for chicken lovers, Palm Grill. As an architect, I took into details its interiors and it has an industrial-homey feel! The warm interior which are youthful and modern recreates the brand as hip and vibrant not just for the family but also for the squads.

We had an intimate lunch together with bloggers/influencers personally-picked by the Palm Grill. We are accompanied by the owner and had small talks about the food, its history, and how it all started. The food served to us are tastes of generations, as it started from his grandparents, parents and additions of his siblings dishes.

Watch the video here:

The restaurant was named as Palm Grill as it features its best selling dishes made with chickens and cocos. It boasts its dishes as homemade recipes perfected by generations. They not just only have chickens, but they also have other dishes like pastas, seafoods and desserts. The food is really the star of the Grill and every single dish never fails to represent its name.

The owner served us Fried chicken which is a recipe of the grandparents, its crispiness never fails to crunch out its deliciousness. His siblings' featured a dish Labuyo chicken wings. This dish is really spicy yet I love the peppery taste that it kicks contrasting its sweetness and the acidity squeezed by lemons, and they had an event called Labuyo Challenge. It is a perfect partner with the melon slaw, as it refreshes your palette with its ingredients of melon, watermelon, turnip et al. made into an incredible side dish. They also have Grilled Locon, which tastes smokey and it feels like you're dining along the beach and palms and its simply grillicious, perfect with the refreshing drink of lychee juice.

It really is a heavens paradise for me, as my favorite components in a dish gave birth to a food that was perfected by generations, "the Green chicken" I am really a fan of chicken dishes and it would be a combo, if it has coconut milk in it! and even a combo breaker when added with herbs and spices, not just 1 but 7 secret herbs and spices. I really love adding herbs and spices on the dishes that I cook, cause it's adding tastes that are vibrant and different, and in this case it is truly irresistible. This chicken dish made by their mom is really a comfort food for me and its peanut sauce is the ultimate condiment I can ever think of. The perfect ending is achieved with this Knicker iced treat. The halo halo of the south in Zamboanga city, made with colorful frozen fruits and natas topped with the creamy ice cream. It is really a great dessert after everything savoury and its really delectable!

Wrappin up after the fully loaded lunch! This grill really has a good potential, its Recipes are honed by generations, the dishes are of perfect combinations! Never did I know that there is a paradise of chickens and cocos, with a southeast asian twist that will make you surely comeback for more!
